Koh Samui?
Koh Samui’s bigger than it looks — but still super easy to explore. It takes about an hour to drive from one end to the other, with most hotspots just 20–45 minutes apart.
Whether you’re after buzzing towns or quiet beaches, you’ll find great food, sunset bars, and island vibes everywhere. You can stay in one spot for the whole trip, or do what we’re doing…… split your stay to make wedding day and recovery day travel easier.

Where to stay FAQ

Fisherman's Village ⭐
Fishermans Village is a great balance of beach bars, restaurants, night markets, and a relaxed vibe. It’s lively but without the full madness of Chaweng. -
The Wedding Venue, Ban Sairee, is tucked away in a more secluded part of the island.
Because of this, we recommend one of two options:Option 1 - Split Your Stay
Start your trip in one of the livelier areas like Fishermans Village (Bophut), Maenam, or ChoengMon to enjoy the beach clubs, restaurants, and nightlife. Then, for the night before the wedding and recovery day, move to somewhere closer to the venue — like Laem Sor, Lamai, or Lipa Noi — to minimise travel time and fully relax.

Option 2 - Stay PutIf you prefer to unpack once and settle in, you can absolutely stay in one location for the whole trip. Just keep in mind that transfers to and from the wedding venue may take around 30–45 minutes each way, depending on where you're based.
Either way, we’re here to help with suggestions — and we’ll be coordinating transport for the wedding day to make things easy.
-
We’ll be splitting our time into two phases:
Until February 28th:
We'll be staying in Fisherman's Village (Bophut) — lively enough for fun, but still relaxed and family-friendly.February 28th – March 3rd:
We’ll move to Ban Sairee for the wedding and recovery day celebrations.
-
Accommodation options:
There’s something for everyone — from luxury resorts to budget hotels, and villas on Airbnb if you're travelling with a group.
We recommend checking Booking.com, Agoda, or Airbnb for the best deals.
-
For the wedding day, don’t worry. We will organise transport to and from the venue for everyone, no matter where you're staying on the island.
